The new product comes on the heels of another joint release, the electric boat THE ICON, introduced earlier this year. For THE OPEN, the German automaker and luxury yacht company focused on futuristic shape and aesthetics combined with passenger comfort. Thanks to the power plant, the model moves through the water smoothly and almost silently and also has minimal impact on the environment. The BMW and TYDE team aimed to make the 14-meter motor yacht environmentally friendly: along with reduced emissions, it consumes 80% less energy than classic models. In addition, THE OPEN deck is complemented by a canopy with built-in solar panels. The cabin includes a spacious modern sleeping area, TV, work desk, storage, and bathroom.
