Strict corrugation and burgundy accents in the interior of a small apartment

Behind the stylish interior, the owner of this bright apartment, an active and open young girl, turned to Vladimir Lyubarsky. Her only wishes were aesthetics and comfort: for the rest, she completely trusted the taste and professionalism of the architect. There are no eccentric techniques in the project, but due to bright accents, the modern design will definitely not seem boring and will retain its relevance for a long time.

From the very beginning of the project, it was clear that a simple redevelopment would not be enough, and more serious solutions were needed. To improve the ergonomics of the apartment, Volodymyr Lyubarski moved the bedroom to the place of the kitchen, which occupied a separate area. Approval of such changes was difficult: the connection to the sewerage system had to be lowered, which required permission from special services and neighbors below. After a few weeks, we managed to come to an agreement with everyone, and the team got to work. Thanks to improved zoning, the small area of the facility does not affect the feeling of the space. The color scheme of the design was created in contrast with the gloomy palette of the city: warm gray tones here serve as a background for burgundy and blue accents. A feature of the interior was the walls covered with Farrow & Ball paint in different rooms — for example, a rich blue shade appears in the corridor. The calm decoration in all rooms is enlivened by fluted details that bring a visual rhythm. For the floor, the architect chose the texture of natural wood, on which the owners will be pleased to walk barefoot. The key principle of furniture arrangement was moderation: we did not want to overload the compact space with unnecessary volumes, so the upholstered group in the living room was formed only by a modular sofa. It was produced according to the author’s sketches and upholstered with textured fabric. The center of attraction of the house was the bright dining area with red Delo chairs and a Knoll round table. The theme of corrugated surfaces was supported here by vases of the GEAR WHITE brand. The bathroom seems larger than it really is, thanks to the monochrome Lea Ceramiche tiles and furniture with mirrored fronts.
