Vladey Art&Design auction: synthesis of aesthetic and conceptual

Auction house Vladey has prepared an auction and an exhibition of Art&Design – a wide range of interior items – from objects, sculptures, and paintings to unique furniture. Many of them are made using complex authors or ancient techniques. The project proposes to see in the works a synthesis of art and design, aesthetics, and conceptual ideas.

Nadezhda Ananyeva, designer, and member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), became the curator of the Vladey Art & Design auction. “For me, works in which nature itself acts as a co-author are absolute art! Clay, glass, metal, wool, felt, and paper are materials that give inspiration, deep meditative experiences, and the subtlest emotions. As a professional, I absolutely understand why in the best, most stylish, and fashionable houses of art collectors there are always objects that create interesting and complex scenography, tactilely and visually diverse layers. Of course, this is a huge merit of craft art objects. Such works have already become the subject of the most passionate collecting,” says Nadezhda.

Among the authors are almost four dozen names, including Eliy Belyutin, Nick Belov, Gulnur Mukazhanova, Vladimir Dubossarsky, Katya Emelyanova, Vitaly Zhuikov, sashaxsasha, Supaform, Daniyar Uderbekov, Fresh Glass and others. Paintings are presented as separate blocks of auctions.

Also, within the framework of the auction, a public talk “Collector’s Fashion House” will be held, during which Nadezhda and Georgy Ananyevs and art historian Marina Shirskaya will discuss the place of art and collection design in collectors’ homes.
