Apartment with river sound

This apartment was chosen by the owners because of the enchanting, lively sound of the Vilnelė river, and the location of the apartment – in the modern new building yet in the heart of the old town at the same time – offered a combination of different styles, objects, and materials, connecting modernity and history, nature and structure.
Therefore it was decided to leave some parts of the concrete ceiling and walls uncovered facing the classic parquet laying, the “handmade” ethnic decor tiles with tighter black lines, the original handmade oriental rug that the owners had, and the modern painting by V. Kisarauskas, letting it all beautifully “play” in one composition.
