As noted by Salone del Mobile President Maria Porro, the 62nd edition will be distinguished by new approaches, experiments with technology, and a series of multicultural initiatives. Among them is a project called Thinking Rooms, prepared with the participation of American film director David Lynch. In the design of these immersive spaces, he pays homage to the salon, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a mysterious and meditative universe similar to his films. The Eurocucina kitchen exhibition will be accompanied by a series of installations and special events exploring the role of food. In addition, visitors will be able to see the installation Under the Surface, which reflects on the impact of daily water consumption and how modern bathroom design can change our habits. This year will be a landmark for SaloneSatellite: the exhibition of young designers will be held for the 25th time, in honor of which the Triennale Museum will also host an exhibition dedicated to it. At the same time, the exhibition itself will feature the work of 600 progressive talents from 37 countries. Milanese studio Formafantasma returns to the salon with the Drafting Futures space for public talks and the Corraini bookshop with publications on design, art, and architecture.
Salone del Mobile will take place from 16 to 21 April.
