5 small but very cozy living rooms

We have selected interesting projects where the designers managed to turn small rooms into a cozy space for evening relaxation and receiving guests.

Agree, it’s hard to be in a cramped room for a long time. The walls press and we want to “break free” as soon as possible. And what if the main room in the house is very small?

We show how the designers saved the apartment owners from claustrophobia and created a pleasant atmosphere in a small area.

1. Luxurious living room in a modern classic style

This modest living room looks spacious and airy. Designer Natalya Komova relied on good lighting in the interior.

Tall windows without curtains and tulle let in a lot of daylight, and a large mirror on the opposite wall reflects and multiplies it. The glass door additionally lets in light from the kitchen. It was not possible to completely remove the partition here, since there is gas in the kitchen, so a solution with a transparent door is very appropriate. Glossy surfaces and finishes further reflect light, making the room visually spacious. Well, the light walls “pushing apart the space” are a classic solution for a small room.

The living room breathes with freshness, there is a lot of air and light. No one would definitely call such a room cramped and uncomfortable.

2. Bright living room with white walls

In this room, the walls merge with the ceiling and seem to dissolve in space. The minimalistic white curbstone “floats” in the air, adding light to the interior. And light curtains made of the iridescent fabric reflect and diffuse light.

A large number of bright and coordinated accents and textiles give the atmosphere a coziness. Despite its modest size, this room is very pleasant to relax and receive guests.

3. Living room for which they did not regret paints

The designers have filled a miniature room in a one-room apartment with multicolor, a variety of textures, and ornaments.

Side by side with restrained classic herringbone parquet, a traditional floor lamp, and a chest of drawers in a vintage style, bright stylistic solutions look unusually cute and modern. The interior turned out to be extraordinary and cozy at home.

4. Living room behind glass

In this project, the owners initially wanted to combine the living room with the kitchen to create a spacious room, but the load-bearing wall did not allow this. Then the designers proposed an interesting solution: replace the wall between the living room and the corridor with a glass partition. As a result, it turned out to visually expand the space, while maintaining the isolation of the room from the corridor.

This living room is also notable for the almost complete absence of cabinet furniture. The shelves and cabinets are compact and do not clutter up the room. Large plants in elegant flowerpots, soft sofa cushions, and velvet upholstery of an armchair add extra comfort.

5. Sunny living room

And in this tiny living room, the designers managed to place a sofa, a storage system, and even a mini-cabinet.

Warm cheerful colors fill the room with coziness and sunshine even on a cloudy day. Dark wood is soothing, parquet and furniture support each other’s texture and hue, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
