10 Charming Scandinavian-Style Studios

Scandinavian style has been very popular in the last few years. We have put together a current selection of small apartments in this style for you – take note of interesting and useful ideas.

1. Studio with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, dressing room and recreation area

Is it hard to believe that you can independently, without the help of a designer, place full-fledged 5 zones on 28 sq.m.? But the owner of a small studio succeeded. The developer provided a niche for a dressing room. To separate the bed from the kitchen, the builders, at the owner’s request, erected a wall – this is the only planning change in the apartment.

The bed was placed on the podium and given a place closer to the window. This is a good solution as you can wake up to natural light and fresh air. The kitchen remained behind a partition. A small folding sofa, which stands with its back to the window, divides the zones into a bedroom and a mini-living room.

They did not add a balcony. Instead, they equipped a full-fledged relaxation area, which can also be used for working with a laptop. The Scandinavian style in the project was not chosen by chance: light finishes, and compact furniture from IKEA with cute trinkets look appropriate in such small studio apartments.

2. Studio with yellow accents

The author of the project of this Scandinavian studio is the owner herself. During the design, the goal was to make the space as functional as possible, but not cluttered. And the task was completed.

The small studio accommodated a full-size double bed, a kitchen, a dining area, an entrance hall, and a workspace for the hostess – on an insulated balcony.

Yellow accents are made almost everywhere: in the bedroom area, kitchen, bathroom, and hallway. We haven’t forgotten about storage systems. There are built-in wardrobes in the hallway and in the room, and storage is also provided under the large bed.

To zone the bedroom, we chose a cornice with curtains – they do not weigh down the space. As an additional zoning, there are different types of floor finishing in the kitchen and the entire room.

3. Scandinavian studio with a touch of Parisian style

In a small 25-meter Parisian studio, we made 2 rooms – a bedroom separated by a sliding door, and a kitchen-living room.

In the bedroom, behind a glass partition, a full-fledged dressing room was made – this is the main storage system in the entire apartment.

A large mirror in a classic frame, lamps, and accessories are reminiscent of Parisian style, and for good reason – the studio is located in the French capital. The result is a cute Scandinavian studio with a touch of Parisian chic.

4. Studio with red accents and loft elements

Another idea on how to “dilute” a standard white Scandinavian interior with bright accents. Red was chosen for this 30-meter studio.

Using a wall and a large glass partition, we separated the sleeping area and hung the partition with curtains. A through mesh partition zones the kitchen-living room but does not burden it. It also reminds us of the loft style in this Scandinavian studio. An interesting solution was to place green plants on the partition – this immediately refreshed the interior.

Behind two red doors that support the chosen color concept, a closed dressing room and a bathroom are hidden.

5. Studio with amazing ergonomics

The owner of this 25-square-meter studio is truly a master of ergonomics. Let’s tell you in order.

The sofa in the living room is extendable. A light console partition separates the living room from the work area. The small narrow kitchen, alas, does not have a dining space, but 2 folding chairs were successfully placed on the wall.

And now about the “magical” transformations in this small studio.

  • If you move the shelving and move the desk to the wall, the room can accommodate 2 beds.
  • Next to the wardrobe, there is a small folding table – it can be used for eating or as an additional work area.
  • It’s easy to add 4 extra chairs next to the sofa in the room, meaning you can accommodate a large group of friends.

6. Small studio in Stockholm

The area of this studio is only 18 square meters. This is the size of one room. But the owners placed here a bedroom-living room (pull-out bed), a small kitchen set – they found a good niche for it and a dining table for 2 people.

The storage systems remained in the hallway – in conditions of limited space, that’s where they belong.

7. Studio with divided kitchen and mini-dressing room

In this 26-meter studio, the kitchen was divided into 2 zones. One part fits well into a small niche, and the built-in refrigerator with a small work surface was placed in the corner of the room.

A small bed and a sofa were placed near two walls – if you wish, you can leave someone as a guest, and everyone will be accommodated comfortably.

All things are stored in the mini-wardrobe.

8. Small Scandinavian studio with false window

The main feature of the interior of this studio is the false window, thanks to which natural light penetrates into the separated kitchen area.

A chandelier with crystal pendants in the sleeping area, fresh flowers, and a second chandelier with white pendants add chic and luxury to the simple interior of a small studio.

9. Scandinavian open-plan studio

For zoning purposes, no partitions were built in this studio, no shelving was installed – visually the bedroom area is separated from the living room only by a large attached mirror and a carpet on the floor in the living room.

10. Studio with a sink in the kitchen by the window

A sink by the window is the dream of many housewives, but not everyone will decide to move the wet area and coordinate the redevelopment.

In this studio, the owners came up with a little “trick” – they placed the sink near the partition with a false window. They didn’t have to move the wet areas, and they placed a bed on the other side of the partition (so it turned out that it was also next to the makeshift window).

There is also room in the studio for a living area and a spacious built-in wardrobe.
