Handles for interior doors: 5 main varieties

In addition to external beauty and a variety of materials, door handles also differ in the type of design. Let’s talk about the main ones.

Agree, it’s hard to imagine a door without a handle. Of course, now you can find a variety of opening mechanisms. But no one has yet canceled the usual canvas. The most common type of design used in everyday life is a push mechanism. These are the most common pens that are found in every home. But these are not all configurations of mechanisms.

1. Stationary handles

Such models have no moving parts and are extremely easy to use. The most popular types are all kinds of U-shaped staples. Such handles are purely a decorative element. They can be made from a variety of materials. You can often find models in the form of broken or twisting lines. Stationary types also include ball handles or button handles. Their main advantage is the variety of shapes and colors, so they can easily fit into any interior of a house or apartment. And anyone can install them. The product can be easily attached to the door leaf.

2. Lever handles

Perhaps the most familiar model to everyone. The design is simple – it is a rod that passes through the door leaf and two lever handles. When the door slams shut, we hear a characteristic “click”. This is where the name of the locking mechanism comes from – “latch”. Such models are complemented with a blocker or keyhole. The design of the lever handles is very different. “Responsibility” for the aesthetic properties of this species falls mainly on the handle: metal, wood, glass, porcelain, and so on.

3. Knob handles

They got their name from the English word knob, which translates as a knob. This model is especially loved by designers for its spherical shape. The locking mechanism is almost identical to the previous one, with the exception that in this case we do not press the handle, but twist it. Such models are also available with a built-in locking element: a blocker or lock is fixed in the center of the handle. The only negative is that cheap samples are short-lived and break quickly.

4. Mortise handles

With the advent of sliding wardrobes in our lives, mortise models also appeared. They are suitable for any sliding doors. The only difference is in the design. In order to install handles, the required space is cut out in the door and the product is recessed there. If necessary, a locking mechanism or latch blocker is also used here. This piece is a laconic and elegant solution for any interior.

5. Magnetic pens

They are considered the most modern. The design of the handle consists of two powerful magnets that are located at a distance from each other. One is located on the door frame, the other is directly on the handle. And then the laws of physics come into force. It is known that if you place two magnets at a short distance, they will attract each other. So it is here.

The most important thing about our X that it is for
