7 Budget-Friendly Eco-Chic Food Storage Solutions: Saving the Planet Has Never Looked So Good

Our selection includes jars for food, eco-bags for vegetables and fruits, and an eco-friendly replacement for cling film.

We have no goal to force you to give up plastic completely; moreover, in the selection, you will also find plastic products. Another issue is the reasonable consumption of these goods. If we are talking about plastic bags, we advise you to definitely replace them (and you will find something), and if we talk about plastic containers, it is important to choose high-quality material. See our selection to find out more.

1. Eco bags

Instead of plastic bags, you can use cotton or canvas bags. They will be convenient for storing vegetables and herbs in the refrigerator or kitchen cabinet, and you can also take them with you to the market so as not to use a bunch of plastic bags – after all, they will end up in the trash anyway. Cotton bags can be washed.

2. Food containers for vegetables and fruits

To take care of the environment, you don’t have to give up plastic completely – reusable storage containers can be used, because you won’t throw them in the trash immediately after the first contamination, as with a plastic bag. Reusability is also a sign of an economical lifestyle.

For example, such a container operates on the principle of a “smart refrigerator”. Thanks to a special air circulation system, vegetables, fruits, and herbs remain fresh for a long time. By the way, this is also a concern for the environment – reasonable consumption.

3. Glass jar for bulk products

Glass and wood are ideal eco-friendly materials; they can be safely used for storing food products: cereals, sweets, tea, and coffee. Such a jar will fit perfectly into any kitchen: from classic to fashionable Scandi.

4. Form for baking and subsequent storage

To avoid washing a lot of dishes, many people now choose disposable baking dishes. But this is not entirely environmentally friendly. It is better to choose a reusable form with a lid – it is then convenient to store the dish in the refrigerator.

5. Reusable wrap

This wrap can replace standard cling film or foil, as it can be washed and reused. It is also biodegradable. Wrap vegetables and fruits, cover plates, and rest assured that nature is being preserved.

6. Set of containers

These reusable containers are made of polypropylene and are designed for storing baby food. Can be heated, dishwasher safe, or frozen. Such multifunctionality means that it is quite possible to accept non-natural material from which the containers are made – after all, they will be used for a long time.

7. Ceramic jar for bulk products

Ceramics will not release harmful materials into food and will last a long time. Choose jars with lids to help retain the flavor and prevent excess moisture from building up inside the jar. The combination of white and wood is a classic; such a jar can fit into any kitchen and even be left on the countertop. It is suitable for open storage.

those who are in a hurry
