11 things from which you can create a beautiful composition on a coffee table

How to arrange flowers, sunglasses, a camera, and other beautiful accessories on the coffee table.

1. Plants

Any interior will liven up if you add plants to it. Choose small plants like aloe or succulents that will be comfortable away from a window. If you often go on business trips or travel, put an artificial plant on the coffee table and pick up a pretty planter – it is difficult to distinguish it from the real one even by touch.

2. Vase

Choose a tall, narrow-mouthed vase with smaller items around it, or a massive, wide vase. Fill it with flowers, dried flowers, or fruits, or leave it empty if it’s textured and interesting on its own.

3. Books

On the one hand, books on the coffee table will be another reason to take your mind off the TV and read what you have long wanted to read. On the other hand, they can be an interesting accessory, especially old and shabby editions. You can use them as a stand for other things that you want to decorate the table with.

4. Photos

A classic example of what can be put on a coffee table is a photo frame. But do not purchase several of the same at once, try one of the combinations:

  • one material, different shape, and style;
  • one color, different materials, and style;
  • one style and different materials and colors.

5. Camera

After the transition to digital cameras, almost everyone at home has old cameras on film. It is a pity to throw them away, they keep memories but gather dust somewhere in the closet. Find a place for them on the coffee table so that they are pleasing to the eye and tell guests about your hobbies.

6. Mug

Beautiful mugs have a place not only in the closet and in your hands but also on the coffee table. Pick up interesting coffee pairs or unusual tea mugs and look for suitable neighbors for them.

7. Sculpture

If you love sculptures, but the apartment is too small for large exhibits, arrange a mini-exhibition on a coffee table. Choose figurines so that they resonate with each other and with the chosen interior style.

8. Candles

When choosing candles for a coffee table, make sure that they are in a non-heating stand and wax does not drip onto the surface of the table. Subject to all safety rules, they will become a stylish decoration of the living room during the day, and in the evening they will add comfort and romance.

9. Lamp

If the coffee table is close to the outlet, put a lamp on it and make it the main character of the composition. It can be an old grandmother’s lamp, a treasure brought back from a holiday at a European flea market, or just a beautiful new lamp.

10. Sunglasses

Sunglasses, wristwatches, and any little thing that tells your story and creates a unique atmosphere in the living room is suitable for a coffee table. It is especially interesting to lay out such compositions under the glass of a coffee table when there is a gap between it and the wooden surface.

11. One bright accent

It is not necessary to force the entire coffee table evenly. If you find something unique and beautiful and you want to focus all your attention on this item, free the table and place this item alone. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to put it in the center, it may look deliberate. Try to move it to the edge.
