The label in question has launched an aptly-named PerfectFill bath, which is designed to do exactly that. Yes, its PerfectFill system allows you to unwind in a tub that is set to the preferred depth and temperature anytime you choose to bathe. The system integrates a smart drain, digital controller that responds to your voice (and/or the Kohler Konnect app) so you can spend less time monitoring your water – and more time picking out the best bath salts for the occasion. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this is the modern bathroom idea you’re about to see everywhere. So, what else do you need to know to get ahead of the crowd? Can it be? The days of hovering over your tub and burning your arm when testing the water are limited? Kohler would suggest so. The company explains that their PerfectFill system allows you to curate ten pre-set experiences so that each person in your home can activate their own bathing experience easily. Or, if you want ten pre-set baths for yourself, that is justified too. This system means you can get into your bath as soon as it’s ready, and you no longer need to worry about finding the correct temperature before taking the plunge.
Do you need to redesign your interior design ideas to suit the PerfectFill? The system includes a valve, system controller, and drain that cooperates with a Kohler digital valve, Kohler spout (deck- or wall-mount), and compatible Kohler bath. So, you may need a new bath. But its long-time convenience may just be worth the redesign. Once your bathing time concludes, the new technology also offers auto-drain functionality that responds to your voice, so you don’t even need to reach for the plug hole.
We expect this upcoming interior design trend will be more than just a fad. But only time will tell. Customers in the US can order the PerfectFill from May 22, while bathers in the UK will have to wait a little longer, as Kohler is yet to announce a launch date. Prices start at $2,700 (approximately £1,987), not including the tub.
